The studio behind the studio

Made by writers at Writing Quest.

Writing Quest built the Storybook: Master Novelist Notion template for series novelists: a place to keep a sprawling saga honest. Writers used it to wrangle their casts, worlds, and timelines, and to make steady progress on books they'd carried for years.

The app is that philosophy grown up into native software, rebuilt from the ground up by 25 Studios. The same idea, everything connected, craft over clutter, remade as a fast, native studio with a real editor, real iCloud sync, and a real safety net beneath every word.

The prose comes first

Everything begins with a beautiful, fast serif writing surface and zero friction. Plans and tools stay out of the way until you reach for them.

Everything is connected

One living graph where any entity is a tap away from anywhere it's mentioned. Your cast, world, and timeline are always in reach, never in the way.

Craft guidance, not gamification

Structure that teaches quietly and never shames a broken streak. A revision day counts; a rest day is allowed. The method serves the book.

The look

Ink, Gold & Candlelight

Cream paper, espresso ink, burnished amber, and antique gold leaf: a studio that feels like a candlelit library rendered as modern, elegant software. Warm, never cold; never techy, never neon. The design gets out of the way so the writing can hold the light. In the app it comes in two appearances, Daylight and Candlelight: warm rag paper under a lamp, or the same study by a single flame.
